LeBron Raymone James Sr. born on the 30th of December 1984, is an American professional player of the basket who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) in the National Basketball Association. James is popularly referred to as King James and is considered to be among the most successful basketball players in history. James was awarded two Olympic gold medals, as well as four NBA titles. James is the player with the highest points in the playoffs and has the second highest number of career points, and is the seventh player with the most ever assists. He was named by the NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times. He was also selected to The NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. There were ten NBA Finals, the most of any player in history. He was a part of eight consecutively from 2011 to 2018. James was selected for the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. He was one of the few NBA player to earn 10,000 points in his career. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, located in Akron Ohio. He received lots of attention from the media for his potential NBA superstardom. He played as a prep to pro and selected first by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft in 2003. Named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year the player quickly became one of the NBA's top athletes, winning an NBA MVP award twice in 2009 and 2010. He was unable to secure the championship Cleveland James left in 2010 by way of a free-agent to become a member of with the Miami Heat this was announced in the television special The Decision and is among the most controversial free agents ever made in the history of sports.
